HUBLI: Rural development and panchayat raj minister Jagadish Shettar on Saturday said Unkal Lake would developed into a tourist destination within a span of one year.
He was speaking to reporters after performing bhoomi puja for the beautification of the lake at a cost of Rs 4.08 crore. He said the lake would be conserved and provided with a pathway on its periphery, greenery, fountain, jogging track, public toilets, etc. He said Rs 99 lakh has been sanctioned for the second phase of the development of Nrupatunga Hill.
