India's biggest show in Belgaum

BELGAUM: India's biggest drama, characterized on the life of Sri Krishna Sambhavami Yuge Yuge, will be kicked off in Belgaum on Friday. Chief minister B S Yeddyurappa will inaugurate the five-day event.

District in-charge minister Basavaraj Bommai, Rajya Sabha member Prabhakar Kore, MLAs Abhay Patil, Sanjay Patil, Firoz Sait and former CM of Goa, Manohar Palekar will also be present for the inauguration ceremony, said project coordinator Bhushan Bhave, to reporters here on Tuesday.

The mega drama, comprises 250 artistes and 80 dancers, apart from cattle, elephants, camel, horses and chariot to grace the 60X80 ft stage at CPED ground. The six-storey stage has is flexible and can be used by performers to revolve, lift, move and dangle. The event will conclude on November 25.

Director Dilip Desai said, they have planned to run the show in different parts of the country and abroad, in various languages from Marathi. This is the first time the show has been brought out of Goa, he added.
