The Hindu launches its Hubli edition

Today, TheHindu is proud to launch its edition from Hubli so that it is able to serve the people of Karnataka and neighbouring parts of Maharashtra and Goa better. This is our 131-year old newspaper's 14th printing centre.
The new edition, printed and published in Hubli, will cater to the Central districts of Karnataka, parts of north Karnataka, Uttar Kannada, Pune, and Goa. With a view to reaching these districts and centres earlier than we have been doing, TheHindu decided to print out of Hubli and also step up the coverage of the region. Appropriate changes will be made in the regional pages to provide a new regional focus within our newspaper's cherished national perspective.
The 13 other centres from which TheHindu is printed and published are: Chennai, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Madurai, Delhi, Visakhapatnam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Vijayawada, Mangalore, Tiruchirapalli, and Kolkata.
Let me on this occasion convey best wishes to our readers, old and new. We greatly value the trust you repose in India's national newspaper.

Editor-in-Chief,
