The Kingfisher Airlines introduced daily flights between Belgaum and Mumbai on Monday. Belgaum-Mumbai flight will take off from Belgaum airport at Sambra at 3.10 p.m. and the Mumbai-Belgaum flight will start from Mumbai at 1.20 p.m.
The airline company had announced on December 27 that they would introduce new flight services on its domestic network, including Belgaum-Mumbai link from January 10.
Earlier, in response to the requests by the Belgaum Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI) and prominent political leaders from the district, Chairman of Kingfisher Airlines Vijay Mallya had said that commercial flight services would be introduced soon to link Belgaum with major cities.
Welcoming the introduction of fight service, BCCI members thanked Mr. Mallya, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Praful Patel for introducing new flight services from Belgaum. However, BCCI members have urged it would be more convenient for a majority of people if the flight takes off from Belgaum in the morning and on the return journey, if it takes off from Mumbai in the evening.
